Allergic to Pregnancy

I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to being pregnant. I've had this recurring sinus infection for nearly 10 weeks. My OB/GYN sent me to a general practitioner several weeks ago, Dr. Allen. Dr. Allen told me, "you seem to be experiencing some type of allergic reaction. Your nasal passages are completely swollen. Swelling is the tissues' normal response during pregnancy, but yours is bad." Then he gave me some allergy nose spray and told me to use it until I give birth.

I did really well for about a week. Then I forgot to use the nasal spray. Now I am experiencing the severe headache I have been battling off and on for the tail end of this pregnancy. The headache feels something like a brain disease--it's like the Ebola-of-the-brain which doesn't take my life, but causes misery. I am pretty sure, however, if I had listened to Dr. Allen and continued with consistently using the nasal spray, I would not be experiencing the Ebola-of-the-brain.

What do we all learn from this: it's my own fault. I just used some odd number of words to complain about something I brought upon myself. It is fun, however, to tell people I am allergic to pregnancy (which I may very well be). I'm not sure if this is true or not, but isn't it said that if you allergic to a certain thing, then the certain thing should be avoided. Whew, good thing this is our last child. (If only we could get Luke to stop saying, "I need another sister after this brother." GREAT!) I can't even imagine what kind of allergic reaction I would have the next time around. :)
