I had another DR appointment today--things are staying the same. We were laughing when Dr. Sanders said, "So, maybe we should talk about getting you an IUD after this baby. I think you need a break." Both Ryan and I laughed pretty hard. Which made me think, is it a bad sign when your doctor is suggesting long-term actions? Either way, it's pretty humorous. He also said, "I want you to stay off your feet [a little longer]. It won't take much to get you going [into labor again]. We just need to get you through a few more weeks." Still bed rest--or off my feet as much as possible. I admit, I'm skeptical. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, nothing is going to through me into full fledged labor.
Then I spoke with one of the other moms from Luke's Head Start class. She has twins her last pregnancy and had to be hospitalized in Salt Lake City. She was frustrated and constantly wished she was home. When it was all said and done, she ended up having and emergency hysterectomy. The doctors told her if she had not been in Salt Lake she would have lost her life and as well as the twins. She gently reminded me that it's best to follow the counsel of the doctors to keep everyone safe. It was a good reminder.
I haven't had much desire to get up today though. I've got a cold, thanks to Luke and Suzanne. I've been pretty achy and tired today. It's always lovely when we pass around this communicable diseases.
