LOGAN - WEEK 1

I'm not counting last week as week one. I hope I forget it soon because it was a crappy week!

The funny things:
  • Luke asked us yesterday, "When am I going to get a step-dad?"
  • When talking about Eric, we explained we are not going to have any more babies. Then Luke said, "Well, actually, when Eric is about 4 and my size, then. . . " Oh, boy! I better get something more permanent than an IUD (wink, wink).
  • I've been trying to get Eric to start sleeping in the crib (which fell apart because Luke was jumping in it). I put Eric in bed, but Suzanne was asleep in the crib. She had crawled in by herself and gone to sleep. It has happened 2 other times since.
  • Eric is smiling ALL THE TIME--it's cute. I'd post a picture if we didn't have dial-up.
The crappy things:
  • We've already gone to the doctor. Luke and Suzanne have both been running fevers. Today is the first day they are both acting as though they feel better.
  • I have to have a CT scan in February because my sinuses are all messed up.
  • We can only get dial-up internet, which means I cannot start the job I started in Dec. So, I'm a bit worried about finances.
  • It's snowed nonstop all week = very little sunshine. I'm solar powered, so that = very little energy and slight grumpiness.
  • We don't have health insurance as of today.
  • President Hinckley passed away.
The HUGE BLESSINGS:
  • We had free generic prescriptions in the month of January thanks to BCBS-NE & Lozier.
  • The SUN is shining right now....(it changes by the moment)
  • We were completely unpacked and starting to get into a grove.
  • We got our NICE tax return.
  • We've been staying warm despite the frigid weather.
  • The first month's rent was FREE! So we didn't have to pay for January or February!!
  • We didn't have to pay a deposit for our utilities.
I'm still not sure if we are "supposed" to be here. I just haven't felt that spiritual confirmation. BUT, I do know the Lord is watching out for us. Obviously, He has blessed us in a lot of little ways; and in a lot of BIG ways too. Both Ryan and I felt a spiritual confirmation for a completely different location. But, maybe the answer is in the events. . .

  1. If you weren't "supposed" to be there, you wouldn't have even known it existed.
    Strictly my opinion.
I'm excited for you guys! Seems like life is a rollin' along! !Jessica
