Luke has been saying the funniest things lately while we are in the car.
A couple days ago we were on our way home from Danette's house in Wellsville. Eric was crying LOUDLY--HE WAS HUNGRY! Luke was singing LOUDLY. He was trying to sing over Eric's crying. I finally had to ask Luke to "Please, let just let Eric cry." Then Luke started crying, "FINE," he yelled, "I QUIT THIS FAMILY!" I tried to explain to him I like his singing, we just needed to do it at a different time. That resolved his concern and he started singing again, only much more quietly.
Yesterday we were driving home from running errands. It's starting to get warmer (thank heaven) and Luke was expressing how HHHHOOOOTTTT he felt. I started adjusting the windows so we could get some air in the car when he firmly rebuked me saying, "Mom, stop playing with the windows." Then, as soon as I had them adjusted, we drove by the dairy farm about a mile from our house. Luke started freaking out, "Roll the window up! I can smell cow poop!"
LOL There's nothing like that Cache Valley smell! The was one thing we all rejoiced in when we moved to Cedar. Isn't it nice when our kids rebuke us that at least we know they're getting some messages we try to send? :D
