Re-Winter

All the snow had melted. Some of the puddles were beginning to dry up. Then it started snowing--AGAIN. So, I've titled this season "re-winter" not spring. Does Cache valley have spring? Maybe it's summer that gets skipped or shortened.... Needless to say, we are in re-winter.

BUT, Ryan and I are going on a mini-moon this weekend. We're going camping in Southern Utah. Luke's birthday is also this weekend. He'll be 5 on Friday. Dean and Angeli stopped by on Saturday and brought him a birthday present (which is now sitting on the shelf in his closet per Ryan's orders). He's super excited to get his own library card too. We tend to go to the library A LOT!

Eric was shot up with his 4 month old immunizations on Friday. He's had a rough time. He was miserably Friday and Saturday. Today, he is doing much, much better.

Well, if you're not in Cache Valley and it's not snowing where you are...think of us during our re-winter. HA!

  1. We just drove home in the snow. This morning when I woke up Dad asked me not to look outside so I wouldn't be disappointed. Sure enough two inches of snow covered everything in sight except for the road. The traffic on the freeway was still moving at a good pace. I reflected on how spring storms seem to bring out the green in all that is around us and the beauty of the spring flowers. We drove home on wet a freeway but the sights that we were allowed to view were breathtaking as the clouds gently tried to touch the ground beneath them in the tops of the mountain passes. There truly is beauty in spring storms for a moment.

  2. I'm wondering if the daffodils I planted last fall will ever get a chance to bloom...I think it's because Easter was so early. Come on Spring, you can do it!!!

  3. If I recall I seems to take forever to get to spring in Cache Valley, but the payoff for waiting is so worth it! Being a Cache Valley girl, I've never been able to "warm up" to this desert business in Cedar. LOL BTW, how's your hand? I tried to call, but I think I had the wrong number, I was just trying to do it from memory...
