This child. Is it her age? her personality? I don't know!
Ryan was helping her get her pjs on last night. She decided to bite him...then she was really proud of herself. We put her in the corner and she stood there, seemingly unaffected, for the two minutes.
We've been trying to potty train her, and she defiantly pees on the floor. I've decided to give it "a break" for several weeks.
Her latest habit is to climb on Eric...he's getting huge, so she can climb on him. He starts to whine when he sees her coming too close to him.
Together, Suzi and Luke bullied the neighbor boy yesterday. OYE! It was the first time they've even played with the neighbor kids.
It reminds me of a quote by Wilford Woodruff:
"We have been reserved in the spirit world for thousands of years, to stand in the flesh in the latter days, and to take God's kingdom and build it up. . . We have got a great warfare to fight. Lucifer, the son of the morning, and all his hosts are united against us. We are but a little handful, compared with the inhabitants of the earth. There never were but a few men and women, in any age of the world, who were indpendent enough to reject evil and to serve the Lord" (emphasis added).
So, in her little attitudes, I remind myself. This child is independent enough to reject evil and serve the Lord...this is a good thing (though not always easy for a parent). I would much rather have my children independent enough to stand for TRUTH no matter the circumstances than see them waiver and wail under the evil designs of peer pressure or parent pressure or from wherever the pressure may come. Thank heaven for the insights of a prophet.
