It's been pretty fun to be part of the fitness focus group with ICON. I'm learning Olympic Lifting. It's fun because it's something new. They are calling it P.I.N.K. Fitness. It is --undoubtedly--all about marketing and selling product. It's all about MONEY! Watching the business side of things has also been pretty fascinating. Boy, oh boy, are those marketers sly! The lady they've found who has revamped her whole body, Debbie Millet, is just the opposite. Very cute, very down to earth and SUPER fun.
The food concepts have sent me for a loop...the diet is almost 50% protein. I, however, have been following my own diet with about 30% protein. Once a week, there is a free day when we eat whatever and how much we want. Today is my free day. YES! I'm having pizza for lunch. I'm having ice cream. Nothing else has really caught my eye...oh wait, pancakes for breakfast.
Anyway, if your interested, they have a blog too.

I just officially completed my first week. So I thought I would post my results. This is what has changed for me in one week, from Saturday to Saturday.
Too bad I don't know the HTML for tables. I'd bug Ryan, but he's at Fathers & Sons.
So, I'm listing the body part I measured, last weeks size and this weeks size right after.
Arm from 13.5 (inches) to 12.5
Chest 38 to 37 (good-bye to my current bra size)
Upper Waist 32 to 31.5
Lower Waist 38.75 to 37
Hips 40 to 39.5
Upper Thigh 23 to 23
Lower Thigh 17 to 17
Calf 14 to 14
Weight 144 to 140
This week, I lost a total of 4 pounds and 5 inches all over the body.
I'm absolutely fascinated by the fact that my legs have not changed size. We've been biking like crazy too. So, biking and weight lifting. Whew! Also, wer're not supposed to track our weight because of the weight gain with an increase of lean muscle mass. Oh well...I want to see how it fluctuates and all works together.
If you have any questions, email me or post. I think it would be fun to chat about.
I have been told that women lose weight from the chest down- that is wonderful that you have dropped so much in just one week- Yeah!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Bridget! That sounds like a really great group.
