Suzanne started running a fever yesterday of 102. I ended up staying home with her while Ryan went with Luke. (Luke chose Ryan. I remember having a hernia operation and wanted my dad to come with me too. It was cute.) At the end of Luke's operation, Suzanne's fever topped out at 104. We ran her to the emergency room where Luke was at (thanks to Lisa!). No surprise, it's a virus.
I left Suzanne in the emergency room to go see Luke in another part of the hospital. I was grateful to be there when Luke was waking up. It allowed me to tell him how brave I thought he was. Wow, did he Luke amazingly pale. (AGAIN, thanks to Lisa for getting us to the hospital.)
They are both pretty medicated right now. Both are playing around like nothing every happened. It is almost time for the medication to wear off, so I had better "leave the computer alone" so I can do my "rounds" of medication.
The challenges of motherhood are many, varied, and surprising, aren't they? :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics- I really enjoyed them- you might as well have them all sick at once- maybe you should boil lysol- good luck
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that Luke and Suzanne are both on the mend, and I'm glad I could help you out. I enjoyed the opportunity to chat. :)
ReplyDeleteOuch! Those are great pictures. I remember they took my tonsils out at age 6 and my friend was next door. Back then they used ether to put you out and then you got ice cream, but I didn't feel like eating it much.
