Here is Hitomi (in the blue life jacket). She will be staying with us for 4 weeks. (Maki is the one in the yellow shirt. She is HILARIOUS!) We initiated her, and some of the other students staying near us, to American culture by taking them out in our rubber boat! Hitomi said, "Wow, first time!" They had a good time.
She was cute as she kept helping Ryan put oars together to get the boat ready.
We also had a picnic. Cody came and spoke Japanese to the girls. I think they ALL loved it.
We were all pretty nervous on Friday when we picked her up. All and all though, I think we are getting a bit more comfortable.
