"Come Unto Me"

I had the opportunity to attend my cousin, Betsy Carpenter's, funeral on Friday in St. George, UT. Since it was Ryan's last day of work at Lozier, I drove with the kids to St. George by myself. We got to the services at the Spilsbury Funeral home late. The kids and I sat in the lobby for a few moments before going into the actual services. In the lobby of the funeral home there is a sculpture of an old woman passing through the veil as a young woman with Jesus waiting to greet her. The artwork is titled, "Come Unto me." I've attached a link to this blog so you can see a visual image. The kids LOVED it! Luke was quiet and then said, "I feel something in my heart, AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!"
I proceeded to explain to him that is a way Jesus tells him that He loves him. I tried to explain it was the Holy Ghost letting him know what he was seeing was a true representation of eternal life. During my explanations, Suzanne said, "Jesus hugged me last time." Last time she saw him, I guess. It was moving for me. The veil, as depicted in the statue, was thin. The kids ended up "playing" General Conference for the rest of the day. I love these type of days!

Ryan was offered the job he interviewed for in Logan. So, we will be moving up there sooner than later. We are not exactly sure when they want him to start since his phone cut out during their conversation as he drove home. Another change heading our way.... and I thought living in the military would be a lot of moving (wink, wink)--Good thing that didn't pan out, huh??? LOL!
