- Mother's Day was AWESOME! Thanks to Ryan. He brought home a dozen red roses and some earrings yesterday. He granted my wish of "someone else doing the dishes" and has been all-around fantastic. I'm grateful for him. Luke made me a card in Primary. They are the coolest cards!
- We stimulated the economy with our George Bush check and got a bike trailer. We just got back from a 4 or 5 mile bike ride. It was a BLAST! Of course, the tailer is hooked up to Ryan's bike. I haven't ridden a bike in years. My butt's a bit sore.
- Ryan was offered a chance to work full-time at his job instead of part-time. (He was working part time so he could start his Masters degree this summer.) After A LOT of evaluation, we decided to "put off" the Masters degree so he can take this opportunity. Things do always change, however :)
- Dean and Angeli are moving to Panguitch this summer. They brought a couple of boxes for Ryan--stuff from when he was a kid. In one of the boxes was his cub scout shirt with all the awards and badges on it. Luke found it in his closet, brought it to me, and said, "Dad secretly left this in my closet because he wants me to wear it." After asking Ryan, we let him adorn the shirt. Yesterday he ran around with this too-big shirt on. I wish I had taken a picture of it. He looked hilarious.
- Over a month ago, I wrote about how Ryan and I were running together. I had stopped breastfeeding and was ready to "loose" the baby weight. The next thing we know, we were all sick and yada yada yada. We had started running again off and on when I noticed an ad in the newspaper.
There is a company headquartered in Logan that builds fitness equipment. They are called ICON--they do all kinds of fitness and weight lifting stuff. The newspaper ad was looking for a focus group of women who need to loose some where between 20 - 100 pounds. As of Thursday, I'm official part of the focus group. The workouts are centered on weightlifting and a high protein diet. I've been doing it since Thursday day and have already dropped 3 pounds. We'll see though. I am naturally skeptical :) (wink, wink)
