Eating some breakfast before going to school.
There have been a lot of questions as to how I "held up" sending my "first" one off to school. Honestly, Ryan took him the first day and I COULDN'T WAIT to get him out of the house!
No tears, no floods of emotion. . .
To put it in Luke's words, "Mom, sometimes kids need a break from their parents, and sometimes parents need a break from their kids." Hey, at least he and I are on the same page.
Really anti-climatic, I know.
The thing I'm enjoying and dreading is homework. We had a couple assignments already this week and, WOW! it was hard to keep Luke motivated until he was finished.
P.S. A big THANKS to everyone who has called and talked to Luke about how school is going--I'm not sure what he thinks, but it means a lot to me.
I'm glad that things are going so well for you and Luke. And I'm on the same page with you two, can't wait until pre-school starts on the 2nd. I'm not sure which one of us is more excited.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the beginning of a new season. There will be some that you will wish they last longer and other that will speed by. Enjoy the moment.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe he is already in Kindergarten. What a handsome little boy!
