Intentional Neglect

I have been intentionally neglecting my blog--too much on my mind. Right now, Eric is crying. Eric is always crying. At any rate, I thought I would at least post a "random sampler" of our "goings on" while I listen to my baby cry himself to sleep.

Luke's recently been obsessed with the number of twins he's recently associated with at school. He's been desperate to have a twin like himself. This is was the best we could do. . .

Eric fell asleep eating. He did engage in hilarious bouts in head-bobbing; we weren't quick enough to get a video.

In Logan, we live near some 'wetlands.' He have seen all types of wildlife. I found this little creature hopping into our house several nights ago. Luke was determined it was his new pet--I was not so convinced.

Yes, that is a maxi-pad on Suzanne's knee...known to her as a "band-aid."

Eric is pulling himself up on everything. Might as well play in the dirt if you're going to stand there.

After 40+ minutes (and me giving in to rock him), Eric is finally asleep. Bedtime can be such a chore! I inclined to rebuke myself. I should count my blessings if getting my baby to sleep is my biggest challenge of the day. :)

  1. Fun pictures- I am all about my kids crying themselves to sleep. I Not enjoy the sound- at all but once the see that I am not going to "save" them the crying get shorter and shorter. Have you tried paly quite music for him? Start is before you lay him down and then make sure it goes past the crying faze them that will clue him in when he goes into that room and there is music on that it is sleeping time- just an idea- good luck with that- sleep or the lack there of can be a real issue

  2. Love the pictures! I needed a good laugh today. Sorry about Eric and this whole sleeping business. :( If it's any consolation neither one of my kids will stay in bed the entire night. Each morning there we all are in my bed! LOL Just once I'd like a full night's sleep, y'know? Love you!

  5. Cute TWINS! Ha ha. I completely understand the sleeping thing. It's a big struggle for me during naptime. I did the baby whisperer thing which didn't work, and now I've resorted to crying it out. It was working until her tooth came in last week, and now it's a major struggle again. Good luck!!
