Cove Fort Days 2009

I love history! I love period reenactments. So when I heard about Cove Fort Days, we had to go. It was worth the drive. We had a blast! Here's a sampling of what we experienced:

The sign on the tree says, "DON'T TOUCH THE APPLES!"

We never rode in the stage coach. However, we rode in an Amish carriage and on a wagon. Super fun! I think the carriage rides more smoothly than our Ford Explorer.

The man in the costume on the right built this handcart from scratch. Impressive work! He used a joint and pin method. There are no nails in this handcart.

  2. I love Cove Fort, I also love Ryan's hat. :) That looks like so much fun. Have you taken your kids down to Pipe Spring? That used to be one of my favorite places to visit when we went to Kanab.
