One of my office mates, Gayadini, is from Sri Lanka. She is an amazing woman. The first couple of weeks we were here, we invited them over for dinner. When they came, she, her husband, Bakti, and their son, Thejaka, came. We had a wonderful time.
This week, they invited us to their house for a meal. We went for lunch. Bakti did most of the cooking while Gayadini served us. (In their culture, they serve their guests and eat after they leave. They do not eat with their guests.)
The food was so beautiful and delicious! We were so grateful for the opportunity. With the blessing of Bakti and Gayadini, we even hauled a couple of sister missionaries with us to the dinner appointment.
